Executive Summary

Edumiam, a social startup that promotes equal opportunities by offering training to early childhood professionals, relies on Forest Admin as a backbone for its back office operations. We recently interviewed Caroline Le Viet, the co-founder of Edumiam, and she highlighted the importance of Forest Admin in various teams, including sales, finance, and engineering. Forest Admin has become an essential tool for Edumiam, providing efficient management of tasks, data integrity, and real-time analytics.

We heavily rely on Forest Admin as the core data management tool of the organization. We use it daily to perform tasks like creating, reading, updating, and deleting records in our database efficiently. This functionality streamlines our workflow and enables us to maintain data integrity effectively.

About Edumiam

Edumiam is a French social startup founded in 2018 by Caroline Le Viet and Eléonore de Saint-Seine with a mission to promote equal opportunities by offering training to early childhood professionals. As a social enterprise, Edumiam focuses on leveraging technology to enhance the learning experience for both educators and students. In 2021, Edumiam raised 1 million EUR, which allowed them to grow the team, the catalog of online courses, and the products offered.

What made Edumiam look for an Admin Panel solution

In the early stages of Edumiam, business operations were conducted using... Excel. While the spreadsheets were well-constructed and efficient despite their complexity, they lacked essential features and raised security concerns.

We did not have a tech team at the time and therefore were looking for a quickly deployable back office, easily customizable by the teams. We heard about Forest Admin through an advisor at Makesense, one of our past incubators. - said Caroline Le Viet.

Forest Admin has completely replaced the spreadsheets and some of the Data Studio charts. Edumiam also utilizes other solutions such as HubSpot and Brevo, each serving a specific purpose, and they are all interconnected. Forest Admin has empowered Edumiam to deploy their activity more rapidly, more efficiently, and with greater security, notably due to team-based layouts and granular access control.

How Edumiam Uses Forest Admin

At Edumiam, Forest Admin acts as the central operations management tool and the single source of truth for accessing and managing user data. The core functionalities of Forest Admin, including creating, reading, updating, and deleting records, are utilized daily to uphold data integrity and streamline workflows.

All the teams at Edumiam use Forest, whether it's the sales team to record their quotes, the finance team to track invoices and build financial dashboards, or the engineering teams to monitor the training completion of our learners.

The teams use Custom Actions to implement custom functionalities and automate repetitive tasks. They also rely on Dashboards to monitor key metrics and trends, such as user engagement, revenue generation, and performance. These real-time insights allow Edumiam to make data-driven decisions, identify areas for improvement, and continuously optimize their application's performance.

Edumiam is a dedicated user of Forest Admin Workspaces - a no-code micro-app builder. They have created numerous workspaces that fall into one of two categories: monitoring workspaces for quick access to relevant information, and operational workspaces to streamline processes by having access to the relevant user data and custom actions on one screen.
